This bespoke carpentry project in Fawkham is a great example of how we can work around existing features to create something completely unique and beautifully balanced.
The client had an impressive handmade wooden cabinet already in place in their large basement space, complete with a grey stone top and built-in wine fridge. Their vision was to expand on that original centrepiece, turning it into a larger feature bar that offered more shelving and storage without compromising the character of what was already there.
We designed and built a five-section shelving installation that frames and complements the existing base unit, transforming it into a fully integrated bar area. The centre section features glass shelving and a mirrored back, adding depth, light, and just the right amount of luxury to elevate the space. All units were hand-painted in Farrow & Ball ‘Serge’, a deep blue tone that perfectly matched the existing panelling and walls, creating a fully unified look.

The finished result is a unique, built-in drinks cabinet and bar that feels as though it was always part of the original design. It’s functional, beautiful, and sets the tone for the entire room, a piece the client can be proud of.
