Garden Pergola, Decking & Storage – Sevenoaks
This bespoke garden project in Sevenoaks brought together three key elements: a timber pergola, raised decking, and a custom-built storage shed — transforming a previously unused area at the end of the garden into a practical, inviting outdoor living space.
Blending Craftsmanship with Nature
One of the standout features of this project was the client’s two cherished olive trees, already well established in the space. Preserving their health and presence was a top priority. The entire design, particularly the subframe and pergola post placement, was carefully planned around the trees. We carried out sensitive excavation within the root zones, ensuring that the posts could be securely installed without disturbing the roots. We also allowed ample clearance around the trunks to accommodate future growth, giving the trees the space they need to continue thriving for years to come.
The pergola now creates a defined zone for relaxing and entertaining, offering shade and structure without enclosing the space. The decked platform is perfect for lounging furniture, family meals, or summer evenings with friends.
Attached to the side is a purpose-built shed, offering plenty of room to store garden furniture, BBQ equipment, and weather covers, in fact, everything you’d want to keep close to hand but out of sight.
The result is a clean, cohesive installation that feels like a natural extension of the home. Thoughtfully designed and built to last, this project has given the family a genuinely useful and enjoyable space to spend time outdoors.
