Light, clean cabinetry designed to conceal appliances and maximise space
This compact but beautifully finished utility room in Tunbridge Wells was designed to feel calm, bright, and completely clutter-free. Painted in Farrow & Ball’s Cromarty, a soft green-grey with a fresh undertone, the cabinetry brings a gentle warmth to the space while keeping the look clean and understated.
Built for Practical Living
With the room’s modest size, the goal was to keep everything hidden while still offering plenty of usable storage and surface area. The left-hand tall cabinet discreetly houses the boiler, while the central base units conceal both the washing machine and tumble dryer, keeping all appliances tucked neatly out of sight.
Above, a solid oak worktop runs the full width, providing a generous and durable surface for everyday tasks. Two matching floating oak shelves complete the installation, tying the scheme together and offering space for decorative or practical items without adding visual bulk.
Subtle round knobs keep the cabinetry minimal, and the colour choice helps bounce natural light around the room, making it feel more open than its size would suggest. The result is a peaceful, purpose-built space that blends form and function beautifully.
